SJSO announces Halloween trick or treat hours

“In the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, as we continue to rebuild and try to find some normalcy in our lives again, we want families here in St. John Parish to have the opportunity to enjoy Halloween,” Sheriff Mike Tregre said. “We know there are a few neighborhoods that are still devastated from Ida and are not as safe as usual, so we are asking residents in these areas to find alternative locations to trick-or-treat. Most importantly, we ask families to be safe and have fun.”
Deputies will conduct blue light patrols during trick-or-treat hours, from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, October 31, 2021.
Motorists also are reminded to drive slowly and be cautious, especially in areas where families are trick-or-treating.”
