LAPLACE — Houses of worship (churches/synagogues, etc.) are able to apply and may be eligible to receive funding for the repair and/or replacement of facilities damaged or destroyed during a natural disaster. FEMA policies were changed to make it easier to receive possible funding from an event that is a Federally Declared Major Disaster, such as Hurricane Ida.

Please email Anitra.Adams@la.gov for assistance with more information and initial coordination with the appropriate Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness personnel. The current deadline to submit a request is December 28, 2021.
