During the week of September 20 – September 24, 2021, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23^rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

 

Ascension Parish:

 

1. Kirkpatrick Morrison, 39124 West Lane Prairieville, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Manslaughter and was sentenced to 35 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

2. Lauren Donaldson, 39124 West Lane Prairieville, LA, age 25, pled guilty to Manslaughter and was sentenced to 35 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kenneth Dupaty, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr.

 

3. Jerome Johnson, 11295 Emerson Rd. Geismar, LA, age 51, pled guilty to Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender or Child Predator and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

4. Arterrion Robertson, 35696 River Oaks Dr. Gonzales, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Attempted Battery of a Police Officer (2 counts). The defendant was sentenced to 2 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

  

5. Troy Trenell Brown, 503 E McArthur ST. Gonzales, LA, age 50, pled guilty to DWI 3^rd Offense and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Craig Stewart and Maeghen Kling. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau.

 

Assumption Parish:

 

1. Andrew Scott, 126 Jacobs St. Napoleonville, LA, age 43, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

2. Matthew Madere, 5494 Hwy 308 Plattenville, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

 

3. Jessica Hue, 160 Andras St. Bayou L’Ourse, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin.

 

St. James Parish:

 

1. Eric Maisonneuve, 1233 N Airline Hwy Gramercy, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Unlawful Use of a Social Networking Site and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

 

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.

 

 

2. Rydell Washington, 2239 Project Dr. Vacherie, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

3. Monique Ragas, 218 W 3^rd Donaldsonville, LA, age 35, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Koenig, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.
