ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH — Several hurricane relief distributions organized by members of the faith-based community will take place Saturday.

• Hope & Purpose Ministries will host a relief distribution beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at 975 Cambridge Drive, next to the Lloyd B. Johnson Law Enforcement Training Center in LaPlace. Food (both ready-to-eat and non-perishable), water and cleaning supplies will be available. Items will be given to 500 residents. • See what happens when love comes to town: Maximum Impact Love will host a Hurricane Disaster Relief event with music, prayer, free food, free water and free supplies from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at New Wine Christian Fellowship in LaPlace. Maximum Impact Love is a non-profit from Atlanta, Georgia. For more information, visit maximumimpactlove.us.

 

• Cory Batiste Ministries will be distributing free hot meals and supplies beginning at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25 at Beech Grove Baptist Church, located at 117 Beech Grove Drive in Reserve.
  • This event is sponsored by Cory Batiste Ministries and Beech Grove Baptist Church. Numerous organizations from Jackson, Mississippi are coming to help the community.
