Hahnville, LA – The boil water advisory for the entirety of St. Charles Parish has been lifted. Water samples from each treatment plant were collected and analyzed by the Louisiana Department of Health and were determined to be negative for contaminants and safe to drink.

At this time, residents may resume normal water usage. While power continues to be restored throughout the parish, residents should still limit non-essential sewerage usage, such as washing dishes, cleaning clothes and long showering. Flushing toilets is OK.

The boil water advisory was put into effect on August 29 after power was lost at both treatment plants due to Hurricane Ida.
