WALLACE — Despite all that resulted from Hurricane Ida, Greenfield Louisiana has truly enjoyed the opportunity over the past week to meet so many friends and neighbors who live in the community on the West Bank of St. John the Baptist Parish.
Over the course of five days, Greenfield also had a chance to give away 20,000 gallons of gas and more than 4,000 hot meals to those in need.
“We are amazed by the resilience, strength and gratitude of the thousands of people that we met this past week. The compassion of so many community members that came and worked right alongside us to help out their neighbors in need was truly a sight to see,” a representative from Greenfield Louisiana said.
“We are also grateful for the opportunity to answer questions and talk about the grain elevators, and how they will help build back the community even stronger than before. Greenfield is excited to be a part of the Wallace community and we look forward to meeting with more of our neighbors so we can learn how to best help and support them.”
