St. Charles Parish Council announces meeting location change

LULING — Due to Hurricane Ida and the damage sustained to the St. Charles Parish Courthouse, the St. Charles Parish Council Meeting scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 7, has been relocated to the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center Meeting Room, 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway, Luling, LA 70070.

Ordinances scheduled for public hearing, introduced at a previous meeting, will be postponed indefinitely. As of Wednesday, August 4, 2021, face coverings are required to enter government buildings.

The following items are on the agenda:

SPECIAL BUSINESS

* An Emergency Ordinance to allow the Planning and Zoning Department to waive local permit fees and some
plan review and inspection fees contained within Chapter 6. Buildings and Building Regulations, Article II.
Building and Related Construction Codes, Section 6-15. Fees for repairs and renovations required as a result
of damage sustained resulting from Hurricane Ida, effective immediately and lasting through February 28,
2022.
