Songy (left) and Deputy Kenneth Weber of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office inspect some of the abandoned bicycles picked up during the past year by sheriff’s deputies and which are being held at the sheriff’s office in LaPlace. Parish youngsters whohave lost bicycles in the past year should check with the sheriff’s office. The bicycles which have not been claimed by Saturday, July 31, will be awarded by drawing at 10 a.m. that morning to youngsters who register for the drawing. All youths between the ages of 10 and 16 are eligible to register the sheriff’s office between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. for the drawing.
