1971- Specialist 5 Carey V. Gauff (left) is congratulated by COL. Richard S. Winstead, commanding officer, US Army Security Agency Field Station, Sobe Okinawa, after being presented the Army Commedation Medal for meritorious performance of duty as an education center specialist. Gauff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vaisin A. Gauff, Reserve, is a 1964 graduate of Fifth Ward High School in Reserve. He received a BA degree in accounting from Xavier University in 1968 and was employed by Avondale Shipyard as a cost analyst prior to entering the service on July 28, 1969. Gauff previously  received the Good Conduct Medal.
