Two students were recently awarded $750 scholarships sponsored by the Rotary
Club of LaPlace. The scholarships are in honor of Allene Gregoire, who was a
Rotarian and longtime educator in St. John Parish. Pictured are the past
president of the Rotary Club Gordon Taylor, East St. John graduate and
scholarship recipient Christopher Taylor, Rotary Scholarship Committee
member Betty Martin, and West St. John graduate and scholarship recipient
