1977- Brownies from the Day Camp, held recently at John L. Ory School, LaPlace, watch Gerald Dicharry of L’observateur as he works on a church bulletin one of the many jobs done at a newspaper. The Brownies and their leaders visited the newspaper to find out how things are done, wound up meeting two computers, named by staff members Steve and Jamie; watching Dicharry at work, watching pictures printed; watched Penny Millet, head typesetter, at work; learned about billing and ads, as well as other jobs around a newspaper.
