TPSO announces month long narcotics investigation results in several arrests

KENTWOOD, LA – The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office concludes a month long investigation with several narcotics arrests.

Chief Jimmy Travis reports a little over one month ago, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics agents initiated a criminal investigation into narcotic trafficking in the Kentwood area.

As a result, agents were able to identify a group of individuals accused of selling narcotics – to include illegal prescription medications, Methamphetamine, and Marijuana in the Kentwood area.  During the investigation, narcotics agents witnessed numerous drug transactions and orchestrated multiple undercover controlled purchases from the accused.

On Friday August 13, 2021,  TPSO agents concluded the investigation by obtaining and executing two search and seizure warrants on two Kentwood residences.  One residence connected to 46 Year-old Tommie Cardell Lee, the other to 42 year-old Michael Tyrone White.

The following is a list of the accused who were arrested as a result of investigation.

Tommie Lee, 46 of Kentwood, LA. Arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of illegal narcotics (to include marijuana), possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and for being a fugitive of another jurisdiction.

Michael White, 34 of Kentwood, LA.  Arrested and charged with possession of illegal narcotics and two counts possession of stolen property.

Curtis Bonds, 34, of Kentwood, LA.  Bonds was occupying the residence of White at the time of the search.  He was arrested and charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm,  possession of drug paraphernalia, and four counts of possession of illegal prescription narcotics.

Warren Brad Travis, 43 of Kentwood, LA – Travis was occupying the residence of White at the time of the search. He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
