LA 44 (ASCENSION PARISH) Emergency Road Closure – A road closure will take place on LA 44 beginning Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 7:00 AM thru Friday, August 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM.

This closure is necessary for CN Railroad to repair a railroad crossing on LA 44 near River Road. Commuters may detour LA 44 to LA 942 then LA 22 back to LA 44 or LA 44 to LA 22 then LA 942 to LA 44.
