SCSO investigates early morning vehicle break-ins; asks for public’s help

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating three incidents that occurred in Ashton Plantation Subdivision during the early morning hours of August 3, 2021.
On August 3, 2021, deputies responded to various residences in Ashton Plantation in reference to unsecured vehicles that were rummaged through overnight. Currently, three separate vehicles appear to have been entered and miscellaneous items were stolen. It is believed that there may be more victims but often, citizens don’t report the crime to the Sheriff’s Office.
Residents of the Ashton Plantation Subdivision are asked to contact the S.C.S.O. if they have any home surveillance video of suspicious activity that may be related to the incidents. It is believed that the crimes occurred on August 3, 2021 between the times of 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.
Anyone that may have fallen victim but has not contacted the S.C.S.O., or anyone with video that may help with the investigation is urged to contact Detective Joshua DeRoche of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985)783-6807.
