LA 20: Improvements at LA 3127

Construction for State Project H.012073 LA 20: Improvements at LA 3127 is anticipated to begin July 26, 2021. This project is 0.125 miles in St. James Parish. The type of work includes grading, drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, class II base course, lime treatment, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work at cost of $438,944.38. This project will add a designated right turn lane for traffic turning from northbound LA 20 to eastbound LA 3127.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists of the active construction zone. Motorists will have access to travel the roadway, but should anticipate delays due to work zone conditions. Specific intermittent lane closures will be announced at a later date, but will be restricted to the following:

• 8:00 PM Monday to 4:00 AM Tuesday
• 8:00 PM Tuesday to 4:00 AM Wednesday
• 8:00 PM Wednesday to 4:00 AM Thursday
• 8:00 PM Thursday to 4:00 AM Friday
• 8:00 PM Friday to 4:00 AM Monday

No permit or oversize loads greater than 12’ feet wide will be able to pass.
