CONVENT — The beloved St. James Parish Pumpkin Patch will return to the Parish Welcome Center in Gramercy in October 2021.

After COVID-19 canceled last year’s event, it was important to President Pete Dufresne to bring this event back to the children of St. James Parish.

Members of St. James Parish Government’s staff met with leaders of the local Lion’s Club, who have worked diligently to host and organize this event for many years, to determine how to partner together to ensure the event continues in 2021.

This year, St. James Parish Government will take the lead on organizing the event which will take place tentatively on October 21-24 and October 28-31.

President Dufresne noted, “I want to thank our hardworking Lions Club members for their many years of dedication to the children of our community in organizing and working this event each year. I look forward to having Parish Government continue with this cherished tradition and celebrate the season as a community this fall”.

Organizers hope to plan a small community fall festival in conjunction with the pumpkin patch on October 24 to include the 5k run hosted by the Lions Club, arts and crafts, vendors, music and more! As details of this year’s event are finalized, more information will be released at a later date.
