TPSO seek man wanted for fraud in multiple parishes

On July 12, 2021, Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives began investigating the theft of money from a business located in Roseland, Louisiana.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports That detectives obtained information that an altered check was cashed at a bank in Walker, LA.
Further investigation revealed that Ryan Stephen Putz of New Orleans, LA illegally obtained and altered the business check, making himself appear to be the payee of over $1,000. Detectives obtained the following felony warrants for Ryan Putz:
1 count – LRS.14:71.1 (Bank Fraud)
1 count – LRS.14:67.16 (Identity Theft)
1 count – LRS.14:72 (Forgery)
**Ryan Putz is also wanted for similar crimes through the New Orleans Police Department and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office**
