FREE virtual inaugural event of The Louisiana Chapter of Women in Healthcare Open to all female healthcare professionals

Baton Rouge, LA.  The Louisiana Chapter of Women in Healthcare is a newly established organization dedicated to promoting the professional development of women in the healthcare industry through networking, education and mentorship. As part of the national Women in Healthcare organization, the Louisiana Chapter aims to empower and support women as they strive to build their careers in healthcare.
The Louisiana Chapter has invited the public to join their inaugural event, Hear Her Here. This virtual event will feature a respected group of five female C-level healthcare executives discussing their leadership journeys. These accomplished women will be answering questions, sharing their wins and lessons learned, and giving advice to women who are navigating their own career paths.
Panelists will include:
Kristin Wolkart, President and CEO, St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, LA
Michele Sutton, President and CEO, North Oaks Health System, Hammond, LA
Dr. Sandra Brown, Dean, Southern University School of Nursing & Allied Health, Baton Rouge, LA

Sabrina Heltz, Executive Advisor, Ochsner Health Network, Baton Rouge, LA
Panelists will be covering topics including:
● Advancement: What are the key factors to advancement for those in the early career stages?
● Education: What is the value of an advanced degree or a professional credential in career advancement?
● Work Habits:  How do you start and finish each day?
● Career Moves:  How important is an exit strategy from your current position? What steps do you take to move into a new position?
● Work-Life Balance: How do you maintain motivation and compassion for your position? How do you keep yourself engaged?
“We invite all women within the state of Louisiana who are interested in growing their professional career within the healthcare environment to join us for this FREE virtual event,” says Janice Lamy, President of the Louisiana Chapter. Lamy is also the System Vice President of Marketing for the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in Baton Rouge, LA.
“Our new organization will focus on programming that is geared towards women in administration, operations and facilities, as well as those who work with them,” says Lamy. “We are a diverse mix of individuals varying in experience from students to C-suite.”
