LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff Mike Tregre recently hosted a meeting with Colonel Lamar A. Davis, the new Superintendent of the Louisiana State Police, and several Troop B officers at the new Lloyd B. Johnson Law Enforcement Training Center on Cambridge Drive in LaPlace.
Colonel Davis was appointed as the 26th superintendent of the Louisiana State Police last October. He also serves as Deputy Secretary of Public Safety Services.
Colonel Davis assured Sheriff Tregre that his agency will continue to build on a good working relationship with the SJSO with the focus on taking care of all citizens, and keeping the public safe.
Sheriff Tregre also led Colonel Davis and his officers on a tour of the new training center.
