LAPLACE — The St. Charles Catholic High School Stagehands are busy preparing for an upcoming live comedy production of Clue Onstage. Clue is No.6 on the list of Top 10 Most Produced High School Plays!

This comedy brings the board game to life and is great for audiences of all ages.

Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue Onstage is an entertaining farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a mansion, where six mysterious guests gather for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. Clue Onstage is the comedy whodunit that will leave audience members in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, at this time, the SCC Stagehands will present its annual Spring Theatre production of Clue Onstage at the St. John Theatre in Reserve at 7:30 p.m. on April 23 and 24. The comedy is open to the general public with limited seating and additional safety measures. Tickets may be purchased at St. Charles Catholic High School daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning April 19. Tickets are $10 each.

In addition to the two performances open to the general public, the Stagehands will be offering a special COVID-conscious performance at 6 p.m. on April 22 that is designed to offer members of the COVID vulnerable population a chance to attend a performance with additional precautions. We ask that audience members for this special COVID conscious performance be limited to grandparents and other at-risk patrons over the age of 18. Sorry, no students. Seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at St. Charles Catholic High School daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning April 19. Tickets are $10 each.

In light of COVID-19, Stagehands and St. John Theatre will be taking necessary precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable production. Patrons will be required to wear their face mask for the safety of yourself and others. Please make sure to keep a safe distance from other guests as much as you can. If you feel unwell or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home. We are hoping to provide a video link of the production on our website for you to enjoy at a later date. Many thanks St. Charles Catholic High School’s theatre teacher and director, Greer Millet and the SCC Stagehands for bringing back live theater to the River Parishes.
