On March 18, 2021, Justin Juul of 11474 Cornerview Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Forcible Rape. Juul was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kenneth Dupaty, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors following a 2018 sexual abuse complaint.
On March 30, 2018, detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating a complaint after a juvenile female disclosed that she was involved in a sexual relationship with a male subject identified as Justin Juul who was over the age of 18 at the time of the relationship. The relationship began when the juvenile was approximately 12 years of age and continued until the juvenile turned 14 years of age.
Detectives made contact with Justin Juul in Ouachita Parish where he was incarcerated in connection with another crime. During an interview, Juul confessed to engaging in sexual intercourse with the juvenile in Ascension Parish.
An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained for Justin Juul who was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charge, pursuant to the plea agreement with prosecutors, Juul was sentenced to 20 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. Upon release from incarceration, Juul will be required to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator.
