1995 – Students in Connie Murphy Hatfield’s kindergarten class at LaPlace Elementary were wide-eye and excited for St. Patrick’s Day after learning a mythical leprechaun visited their classroom overnight. The 23 students found magical pixie dust, hidden notes written on four-leaf clovers and holiday candy, all apparently left by the happy little Irish man.
