Yesterday, Friday February 27, at about 3 p.m., a black female wearing dark clothing and a white mask and driving a black Nissan Ultima, went into an open garage in the 200 block of Beaupre in The Willowdale/Davis area of Luling. The perpetrator knocked on the glass door and the female resident answered the door. The unknown female then claimed she was at the wrong address and quickly left.
The perpetrator returned about an hour later, parked in the driveway, and entered the same residence via the open garage. She then stole the owner’s wallet and departed. The owner of the home was in another room but didn’t realize what had happened until she got a notification from her bank later that afternoon that someone had attempted to use her debit/credit card on the West Bank of Jefferson Parish to purchase unknown items.
It seems that this perpetrator was in the Willowdale /Willow Ridge / Davis area for at least an hour or so on Friday afternoon. We would ask that everyone in the area please check surveillance / doorbell cameras so that we can identify and arrest this thief/burglar.
If you have any information concerning this perpetrator and this incident, please contact Detective Jenni Barrette via our 911 center or please email her at Jbarrette@stcharlessheriff.org
