Summons follows Tuesday evening fireworks disturbance

On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, about 11 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Old 51 in LaPlace in reference to several reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers quickly determined it was fireworks.
Deputies were able to locate the subjects popping fireworks, and they were issued misdemeanor summons for violation of the parish’s fireworks ordinance.
