LAPLACE — While many business owners have struggled to stay afloat amid COVID-19 shutdowns, Clarence West Jr. of LaPlace has found that his credit repair services are in demand now more than ever.

As the CEO and founder of Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions, West is passionate about giving back to the community by educating others about taxes, credit and finances.

Services that West offers year-round at 1 Galleria Boulevard Suite 1900 in Metairie include tax preparation, credit restoration, business coaching, business loan assistance, financial advising and bookkeeping. St. John the Baptist Parish residents should be on the lookout for a new Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions office opening in LaPlace this spring.

The business is a success story for West because it shows his growth from being someone in need of services to becoming someone in a position to help others. Commitment, trust, dedication and professionalism are key values at the core of Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions.

“A few years ago, I was in a position of needing those services myself. Once I gained the knowledge of the business, I wanted to be able to help people,” West said. “For me, it’s a blessing because, while helping clients with their finances, I’m able to share my story. It is very beneficial for my clients to know they have someone they can reach out to and relate to when it comes to the financial aspect of things.”

While most tax preparation companies schedule appointments in 30-minute intervals, West offers each of his clients an hour of service. This allows him to spend time educating clients on what they can do better moving forward to get a larger tax refund in the future.

Lasamha Durdin was one of West’s business coaching clients, and she found Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions to be a useful resource while establishing her own LLC.

“The information he gave me was very helpful. He’s an awesome guy, very professional. I had so many questions, and he was able to walk me through the whole thing,” Durdin said.

Single mother Moranda Macklin said Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions helped her get her credit on the right track. West gave her the push she needed to stop putting credit repair on the backburner due to her busy schedule.

“I felt like he really went above and beyond to help me with my credit. He was very consistent with it,” Macklin said, adding that she keeps in touch with West to ask for his advice when it comes to credit card offers and other financial topics.

“He’s very helpful, and I am educated more on it now than I was before,” she said.

Infinity Tax & Financial Solutions was recently featured on New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s Black-owned business list. West was also featured on a “Letha’s Real Talk” Facebook live event last week to highlight his success as a young male business owner.

“We talked about how my business came to be so successful during the time COVID, when a lot of businesses were not as successful. Other business owners, not just locally, can take those business strategies I used and implement them into their businesses to generate success and financial wealth,” West said. “Some of the strategies included social media marketing, boosting posts for Facebook and being able to post your business on social media without limiting it to one platform. As a business owner, I advise any entrepreneur to use all platforms that are available because you want to be able to reach everyone.”

West is currently offering services by appointment only. Virtual appointments are also offered.
