LAPLACE — St. Charles Catholic High School is a proud community institution, and SCC alumnus, Todd P. Trosclair, seeks to assist families as they send their children to SCC to receive a Catholic education. Trosclair graduated in 1977 from St. Charles Borromeo High School, where he was very active in sports and clubs. Living out the American dream of owning his own company, Trosclair firmly believes his success is attributable to education and strong, dependable teamwork. He is now CEO of All Star Electric, Inc. and founder of the All Star Foundation. The Foundation oversees and awards this scholarship to students attending SCC to show support of Catholic education and allow Trosclair to assist active, hard-working and involved students with their high school tuition.

To apply for the awards, applicants must be a current St. Charles Catholic High School student, and the student must be participating in and must continue participation in at least one activity where he/she may earn “letterman” status. The criteria used in awarding this scholarship focus on the demonstration of the student’s development of the mind, body and spirit.

Two scholarship winners were recently awarded $1,000 towards their SCC tuition, and the winners are seniors Thomas Chapman and Lauren St. Martin. Thomas Chapman is senior athlete at SCC who maintains a 3.7 GPA. He is a five-year letterman is baseball, a four-year letterman in basketball, and a three-year letterman in swim. In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Chapman has earned placement in the Beta Club and National Honor Society, SCC’s prestigious honor societies for high-achieving students. He also serves as an SCC Ambassador and as a volunteer for the Special Olympics.

Lauren St. Martin is a senior athlete at SCC who maintains a 4.0 GPA. She is a five-year letterman in softball and volleyball, a four-year letterman in swim, and a two-year letterman in cross country. Lauren has also earned placement in the Beta Club and National Honor Society, and she serves as an SCC Ambassador and Retreat Team Leader.

SCC is so appreciative of the All Star Foundation for selecting these students for recognition through this scholarship and for their continued commitment to the SCC community.
