Nutrition classes & walking club offered to locals

Are you interested in becoming healthier and eating in portion sizes? Well join me in the nutrition classes that can help you on your way to becoming a new better you!

The following classes are being offered virtually on the following dates below. If you are interested, please email me, Cynthia Clifton, at cclifton@agcenter.lsu.edu or call the office at 985-497-3261.

The classes are as follows:

Feb. 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. – Be Active Your Way

Feb. 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. –Proteins

Feb. 25, 2021 at 10 a.m. –Dairy

March 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. –Fats Sugars Salts

Once you are scheduled for a class, the invitation will be sent out for you to join the class. Looking forward to seeing you in the classes!

On another note, are you interested in walking for benefits of losing weight, decreasing medications, and looking healthier? A socially distanced Walking for Benefits Club is being offered to the people of St. John the Baptist Parish. The Walking for Benefits Club will be offered on the West and East

Bank. The information is listed below:

West Bank at Juan Anthony Memorial Park: Mondays and Wednesday at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

East Bank at Thomas Daley Memorial Park: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
