LUTCHER — Anya Bailey Randle has been newly appointed to the Hospital’s Board of Commissioners after an internal nomination and vote by the St. James Parish Council. Randle brings a wealth of knowledge and an impressive background in finance. The hospital is extremely thankful and proud to welcome her voice to its Board.

Serving as the chief financial officer for Assumption Parish Schools in Napoleonville, Randle currently manages the district’s most significant general fund balance. Recently, she was appointed Interim Superintendent of the school district and tasked with creating a strong start plan for reopening schools with a virtual academy option during the Coronavirus pandemic. She has worked in education for the last 14 years, but has been employed in governmental accounting for 18 years.

Randle is a graduate of Dillard University and earned a master’s of business administration from Nicholls State University. She is a certified Louisiana school business administrator and official. She is also a certified government finance officer through the Government Finance Officers Association of Louisiana.

Randle is a servant leader. Her passion is mentoring and developing effective school business officials. She is the founder of the Aspiring Leaders of LASBO Institute, which provides professional development for school business officials. For the last nine years, she has been a dedicated board member of the Louisiana Association of School Business Officials, serving in various board and officer positions including past president. Currently, she also serves as the Louisiana Director for the Board of Southeastern Association of School Business Officials. She is a published author and has served as a presenter for many associations on various issues regarding school business. Her demonstration of excellence in her profession was acknowledged by Dillard University as she was recognized as a 40 under 40 honoree in 2019.

Randle’s desire to serve is displayed in her community outreach involvements. She is a financially active member of the Phi Sigma Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, where she has served as chairperson of the Audit and Connections Committees. Most recently, she was appointed a commissioner to St. James Parish Hospital’s Board of Directors and recognized as the 2021 River Parish Women Lead Honoree for her efforts to improve the social, economic, political, networking and legal strength of local women. She has also served as a Catechist for St. Phillip Catholic Church.

Randle is a native and resident of St. James Parish. She is married to Kerry Randle and is the mother of two children, Kayde and Keri. When she isn’t crunching numbers for Assumption Parish Schools, serving organizations or her community, you can find her traveling and making memories with her loving and supportive family.

Randle is eager to share her knowledge and serve St. James Parish Hospital. “My diverse background in finance and accounting will hopefully offer additional insight to strategically funding projects and initiatives, along with possibly increasing the organization’s fund balances and/or reducing costs and improving resources and/or services for stakeholders,” she said.
