RESERVE — RTC recently completed the donation of their old headquarters on West Fourth in Reserve to River Parish Community Theatre. Since 2019, the two organizations began forming a partnership to allow the theater group to utilize the building for storage and meeting space.

Prior to the formal donation being made, volunteers from the theater organization dedicated substantial hours to retrofitting and updating the space that most previously housed RTC’s corporate headquarters – all-the-while being consummate caretakers of the property even before RTC’s generous offer.

“Once we witnessed the care and depth of appreciation RPCT had for the property’s historical value, the decision to repurpose this community investment and permanently donate this building to them was an easy one,” said Josh Descant, CEO of REV Broadband – the parent company of RTC, EATEL, Vision Communications and VENYU.

“River Parish Community Theatre – its staff and community supporters – have all been great stewards of this facility and we are similarly proud and excited to be part of their continued growth,” said Katie Klibert, community relations and business development manager for RTC.

River Parish Community Theatre plans to continue to utilize the facility to store sets, props, costumes and more.

“Through the generosity of RTC and their continued commitment to our community, we now have a place to base our operations from. We have worked very hard to earn a reputation of not only quality theater, but also being good community partners. We will take good care of this historic landmark and be good neighbors,” said Sean Roussel, RPCT board president.
