BATON ROUGE — Governor John Bel Edwards recently announced his appointments to several Louisiana boards and commissions, including the Reentry Advisory Council.

District Attorney Bridget A. Dinvaut of LaPlace has been reappointed to the Reentry Advisory Council, and she will represent the Louisiana District Attorneys Association.

The Reentry Advisory Council was created to establish a more systematic approach to identifying obstacles that impede successful reentry of ex-offenders. The council is charged with developing and implementing effective reentry strategies that improve public safety.

Other appointments to the Reentry Advisory Council were: The Honorable Fred T.D. Crifasi of Baton Rouge, representing the Louisiana District Judges Association; the Rev. Paul R. Murray of Prairieville, representing the Louisiana Chaplain’s Association; Joseph A. Prejean of Churchpoint, owner of Big Poppa’s Fitness Gym; and Christian J. Rhodes of New Orleans, representing the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry.
