LAPLACE — Child Advocacy Services received an unexpected charitable grant of $100,000 from the Valero Benefit for Children this year, despite the cancellation of the Valero Texas Open Golf Tournament and associated events.

“This investment demonstrates the valuable partnership and priority of Valero for services to children! We are honored to put these funds into place for improving the lives of children,” stated Rob Carlisle, CEO Child Advocacy Services.

The challenges placed upon organizations with the pandemic adds incredible challenges to children and families. These resources will enable Child Advocacy Services to sustain their critical services for children and offer them a voice to better improve their lives and futures.

Due to the incredible generosity of Valero’s business partners, donors, and sponsors, more than $14 million in net proceeds from the Valero Texas Open will be distributed to agencies across the United States, fueling the work of hundreds of charity partners like Child Advocacy Services when the need has never been greater.
