WINNERS: Gift certificates support the restaurant industry

LAPLACE — The 2020 St. John Industrial Group, comprised of Air Products – Garyville (SMR), Denka

Performance Elastomer, DuPont, Evonik Corporation (Garyville), Evonik Corporation (Reserve) and Nalco

Water, held a drawing for $50 gift certificates to local restaurants. Open to local residents, those who read the St. John Industrial Group newsletter online at www.stjohnig.com could enter a drawing for one of three gifts.

The drawing was held on November 4, 2020. Winners selected include Lauren Taranto, who won a gift card to Mabile’s PoBoys; Taryn Young, whose gift certificate is to Connie’s Grill; and Allen Smith, who drew the Pier 51 gift card.
Winners came from Edgard, Reserve and LaPlace, and organizers said all were quite pleased to win. Smith commented that he had never won anything in his life.

Several St. John Industrial Group representatives were on hand to award the prizes and deliver 100 printed newsletters to each library branch in St. John the Baptist Parish.

St. John Industrial Group encourages everyone to review the emission data and community outreach information on the website even though the contest has concluded. The information will remain available online until next year’s data is posted.
