LAPLACE — A Dedication Mass was held for the Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney’s Beatification on Oct. 31 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church.

Father McGivney founded the Knights of Columbus on March 29, 1882 in New Haven, Connecticut.

There are more than 17,000 Knights of Columbus Councils around the world. There are also over 300 Knights of Columbus councils on college campuses, including the state of Louisiana.

The Fourth Degree Archbishop Blenk, Assembly 318, Honor Guard, was present for the Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney Dedication Mass.
