Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

RESERVE — The Hahnville Tigers were totally taken aback with the East St. John Wildcats last Friday as the showdown of the big cats ended with The E on top for a 38-16 victory.

No doubt the East St. John Wildcats were ready and waiting for the Tigers to be their next prey. And they had no trouble showing the Tigers who ran the big cat territory as they took to scoring early in the game.

Last week’s showdown against Hahnville ended in a 38-16 victory for The E.

Spectacular offense from Marcus Jackson, Kylon Harris, Cortez Fisher and Jackie Marshall, who played both sides of the ball, gave The E an advantage over the Tigers. Marcus Jackson started his offensive attack early in the game and the Wildcats set the pace for the halftime score to be 18-0.

The Wildcats would show their claws even more at the Tigers as the defense refused to let the Tigers score and the offense kept the scoring going. The Tigers did finally get a chance to get on the board towards the end of the third quarter.

The E proved to be more dreadful as they scored two more times in the fourth quarter. The Tigers managed to get in one more touchdown by the end of the game. However, the Wildcats just proved to be too much for the Tigers and the final score was 38-16. East St. John is now 3-0 for the season.

This week The Wildcats will venture to Helen Cox on Friday. Good luck to those Wildcats!
