LAPLACE — JaVon Ophelia Butler will moderate “Church Meets Government: The Judge’s Seat” this evening at Choice International Ministries, located at 516 E. Airline Highway in LaPlace.

This political forum will feature questions and answers with seven judicial candidates in St. John the Baptist Parish. Bishop Antoine Jasmine, general overseer of Choice International Ministries, will be the host of this event.

Mingle time starts at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28. The political forum will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The following candidates will be present: Jude Gravois, Sharrolyn Miles, Robert Snyder Jr., Nghana Lewis, Vercell Fiffie (Judge-Elect), Eric Carter and DaShawn Hayes.
