RESERVE – The St. John the Baptist Parish Public School District will be providing meals to go for virtual learning program students and for hybrid students for the days they are learning from home.

Meals will consist of shelf-stable and frozen foods that families will receive once a week.

Due to the Labor Day holiday, four days’ worth of meals will be available for pick-up by virtual learning program families on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Beginning on Monday, Sept. 14, families can pick up meals each Monday for the week. Each student will receive five breakfasts and five lunches.

Monday pick-up time is 8 to 9 a.m. for East St. John High; 9 to 9:30 a.m. for Lake Pontchartrain; 9 to 9:45 a.m. for Emily C. Watkins, Garyville/Mt. Airy and LaPlace Elementary; 9 to 10 a.m. for East St. John Prep; 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. for Fifth ward and West St. John Elementary; 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. for John L. Ory; and 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. for STEM.

West St. John High virtual students will have curbside pick-up at West St. John Elementary from 9 to 9:45 a.m. each Monday.

If the student is not in the vehicle, the adult picking up the meals must fill out a pick-up form listing each student for whom a meal is being picked up. Pick-up forms can be completed curbside or downloaded and filled out in advance from stjohn.k12.la.us/apps/pages/togo.

Families enrolled in the hybrid model will receive three breakfasts and three lunches on the first day of school each week to cover the days they will be learning virtually. Students will be given meals to take home as they board the bus or are picked up by parents in the afternoon.

Please note, for all students, that if a holiday falls during the school week, meals may only be provided for the days school is in session.
