St. John the Baptist Parish – Tropical Storm Marco is continuing to weaken with fewer impacts forecast for the area however residents shouldn’t let their guards down as Tropical Storm Laura could bring inclement weather to the area beginning Tuesday night.
Heavy rainfall, strong winds and coastal flooding as well as street flooding remain a threat.
Parish crews have connected all emergency generators and pumped down all waterways. Please keep all debris secure and refrain from placing on side of road until after the storm passes.
Power outages are possible and can be reported to Entergy at 1-8900-OUTAGE.
