WALLACE – Dr.  Joy Banner, director of communications and descendants for Whitney Plantation Museum, invites the public to a “Coming to the Table” kick-off discussion on how to be anti-racist.

This event will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, June 22, at Fee-Fo-Lay Café, located at 5593 Highway 18 in Vacherie. It will be held outdoors with social distancing in mind. Free coffee, iced tea and refreshments will be provided.

Coming to the Table provides leadership, resources and a supportive environment for all who wish to acknowledge and heal wounds from racism that are rooted in the United States’ history of slavery.
