Golf cart registration to drive on parish roads

- Officers A.J. Preyan, Rick Bailey, Elton Foret and Sheriff Mike Tregre conduct the parish’s first golf cart inspection two years agi. With them is Vincent Simon of Reserve, who was the first to register his street legal golf cart.

The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents with golf carts that it’s time to renew their registration. The State Legislature passed Louisiana Revised Statute 32:299.4, Act No. 308 in June 2018 amending the laws controlling the operation of golf carts, all-terrain vehicles, and other unregistered non-road use vehicles on public roads.
