St. John the Baptist Parish – Tropical Storm Cristobal is forecast to make landfall along the Louisiana Coast in the next few hours. St. John Parish is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning and Flash Flood Watch. Heavy rainfall of 4 to 8 inches through Tuesday and storm surge remain the greatest threats.
Parish President Hotard would like to remind residents that now is the time to stay home and monitor weather conditions. “All preparations should be complete, and we are asking residents to stay off roadways during inclement weather and not let your guard down as severe conditions are still possible through the night.”
