NEW ORLEANS — STEM NOLA will present its first at-home session for student and parent engagement, “LUNGS: Catch Your Breath,” at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 7.
Join Dr. Eric Griggs on Zoom to learn about lungs and COVID-19. Registration is available now by following this link.
STEM NOLA offers hands-on activities, inquiry-based learning methodology, standards-based pre/post assessment tools, teacher resources and development packages.
Students have the opportunity to learn by asking questions, observing demonstrations, completing experiments, building kits and engaging in exciting group projects. Programs have been correlated to match curriculum requirements for every grade level and are rich in elementary level science content.
STEM NOLA offers in-school, after-school, community and family-based programming. The diversely themed programs can be used as a curriculum enhancement or as an introduction to STEM concepts. Several STEM NOLA workshops and “STEM Saturday” events have been held in St. John the Baptist Parish.
