Loyd Bourgeois gives back: Area attorney donates to teachers’ lounges

Local Luling attorney Loyd Bourgeois recently kicked off a new program supporting local schools, teachers, and support staff.
“Our firm is committed to giving back to our community and in 2020, our goal is to let our teachers and school staff feel the love,” said Bourgeois. Over the year, the law office of Loyd J Bourgeois will support a different school every month by donating coffee, goodies, and other treats to each St. Charles Parish Public School teachers’ lounge.
“Teaching children, molding minds, building the great community leaders of tomorrow is clearly not an easy job. And one often taken for granted by all of us parents and community members. In St. Charles Parish, we are blessed to have one of the best school systems in all of Louisiana, and it does not come without the selfless dedication of our teachers and school support personnel.”
The firm kicked this off in February by recognizing the incredible teachers and staff of Lakewood Elementary in Luling. Lakewood is a 3rd through 5th upper elementary school and where all three of Loyd’s children (and his wife) learned what it means to be a St. Charles Parish student.

“We thank them for their patience, guidance, inspiration, and nurture of the future leaders of St. Charles Parish, the State of Louisiana, our nation and the world. We hope they enjoyed the snacks, drinks, and, of course, lots of coffee!” Bourgeois said.
Loyd Bourgeois is a local personal injury and disability attorney with an office in Luling and was recently recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© 2020 in the field of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.
This is the second year in a row that Bourgeois was voted by other attorneys for inclusion in the list. Only 5% of US attorneys are represented in the publication.
In addition, for 2020, Loyd J Bourgeois, LLC was named to U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings list. The firm was regionally ranked in New Orleans in the field of Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs.

Bourgeois considers his work giving back to his community. He grew up in Bayou Gauche and lives in Luling with his wife and 3 children. He is also a board member of the United Way of St. Charles, a long-time supporter of Dat Dads’ Club of Luling, and coaches local soccer and baseball teams.
