LAPLACE — Froggy’s Mission began in 2015 in memory of Julia Caroline “Froggy” Luna. Julia was a young volunteer who dedicated her time trying to help get shelter pets adopted. Her goal was “Adopt One Until There Are None”, which is now the organization’s goal and catchphrase.

Froggy’s Mission continues to work closely with St. John Parish Animal Shelter in hopes of continuing Julia’s mission.

Volunteers get together a few times a month, hosting adoption events at Pet Sense and Tractor Supply. The group has also participated in Pet Fest and Tour For Life.

Froggy’s Mission can always use dependable volunteers. Dates and times that volunteers are needed are posted on the Froggy’s Mission Facebook page along with the volunteer form.

Volunteer events also present a great opportunity to earn service hours.

Those who would like to become a Froggy’s Mission volunteer are asked to please contact Jodi Luna at 504-559-3965.
