LAPLACE — As the need for a college education grows, so does the cost of tuition. How can a normal person make a better future for him or herself with such a massive price tag attached?

Louisiana FCU is offering a free workshop that will discuss the options available to college hopefuls. Topics to be covered are types of financial assistance offered for college, college admissions requirements and earning college credits while in high school. This event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday Dec. 5 at the Louisiana Federal Credit Union Training Center located at 406 E Airline Hwy.
