LAPLACE — Kendrick Pritchett, 20, was killed in an early morning shooting in LaPlace, according to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office. Another 20-year old male was injured.

At 12:51 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call of someone being shot in the 1300 block of Cambridge Drive. Upon arrival, officers located two gunshot victims.

Pritchett, 20, succumbed to his injuries. The second gunshot victim, who has not been publicly identified by police, was at University Medical Center in New Orleans as of 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.

No suspects have been identified at this time, according to Sheriff Mike Tregre.
