LAPLACE – The Revelation Knowledge Outreach Center of LaPlace will be assisting Toys For Tots for the second year in distributing toys to children in need.

Parents or guardians interested in getting their child in the program must register in person between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 2 at Revelation Knowledge, located at 125 Ash St. in LaPlace. They must bring proof of income, proof of guardianship, proof of residence, and I.D.

For those who are able to contribute to the toy distribution program may drop off toys at 11 locations in Laplace (except as noted)

Keep in mind that Toys for Tots are geared towards children under 12 years of age, with children under 2 years of age an area of great need. Donated toys must be new and unwrapped. Books and homemade toys are accepted. Gifts are expected to be around $10 as a minimum. Donations of used toys, candy, food, toys that contain chemicals or look like realistic weapons will not be accepted. Monetary donations are also accepted but should be made directly to the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation on their website, https://www.toysfortots.org/.

Anyone who wishes to help Toys For Tots in Laplace as a program volunteer must attend a meeting from 3 to 5 p.m. on Dec. 16 at Revelation Knowledge, located at 125 Ash Street in LaPlace.
