MEMPHIS – East St. John Alum, Damonte Coxie, had a big night when his team, 24th ranked University of Memphis Tigers defeated the number 15 ranked Southern Methodist University Mustangs last week.

Coxie, a junior, is a wide receiver. He had seven catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns. The final score was 54-48. This win brings the Tigers to 19th ranked and the previously unbeaten Mustangs dropped to number 23.

Coxie played for the East St. John Wildcats from 2015-16.
