LAPLACE — The Kajun Kidd Burgers and Wings food trailer recently moved to Airline Highway in front of Becnel Law Firm, across the road from Home Depot and Burger King.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Owner Cardell Smith is a LaPlace native who has worked as a chef in upscale environments, including the Ritz-Carlton hotels in New Orleans and Atlanta. He was featured on season 5, episode 12 of Food Network’s Cooks vs. Cons.

The Kajun Kidd menu will change week-by-week. The first week included specialty burgers, eight flavors of wings, loaded fries, chicken pasta and New Orleans desserts.
