Veterans Day parade rolling on November 9

LAPLACE –The ninth annual St. John Parish Veterans Day Parade and Celebration will be on Saturday, Nov. 9, to honor St. John’s local veterans.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Home Depot in LaPlace and travel down Airline Highway to the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home located at 4080 W Airline Highway in Reserve. Residents are invited to wave American Flags and salute the veterans in the procession of convertibles, jeeps, motorcycles, and service oriented vehicles as they travel along Airline Highway.
All are welcome to gather at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home for a small ceremony honoring the Veterans following the parade.
