Oktoberfest at Middendorf’s Manchac is set for every Wednesday and Thursday for six weeks, Oktober 2 through November 7.

In Slidell, Oktoberfest will be held every Friday for six weeks, Oktober 4 – November 8.

There will be plenty of German Beer, costumes and live accordion music from Heinz Pfeifer, the brother of the owner Horst Pfeifer

It wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without Horst and Heinz,” said Middendorf’s Owner Karen Pfeifer. “Horst is a European Master Chef who organizes and prepares all of the amazing meals. He’s also a big cheerleader for our staff. And, then there’s Heinz who flies in from Germany every year to play the accordion in his lederhosen. He’s developed quite a fan base in Manchac, and he’s ready to make lots of new Heinz fans in Slidell. Oh, and this year, Oma is in town! Their mom also flew in from Germany to make sure everything is just right and wunderbar.”

German meals will be available for lunch and dinner along with the regular menu. Guests who eat an Oktoberfest meal for all six weeks will receive an Oktoberfest Prize. Punch cards must be punched each week and turned in on the final week.
